Blue Green Algae spotted on Lake Arbutus the Week of August 16, 2009
A visitor to the lake spotted a large Blue Green Algae bloom on the North end of the lake by the power line crossing, The bloom was half way across the lake and about 3 lots wide. It had a terrible smell and was very thick. A sample taken was confirmed to be an Algae bloom by the DNR
